Barrier Island Camping/Paddling Tour
Barrier Island Camping/Paddling Tour
This is the ultimate Florida experience! This tour travels along the Big Bend Coast which is one of the longest and wildest continuous coastal wetlands in the United States. You will paddle over one of the lushest, most extensive seagrass beds in North America. The tour is three days and two nights of primitive camping. Each day we average about 10-15 miles of paddling. Paddlers must have experience in open-water and be an experienced paddler. Conditions can change dramatically due to the length of the trip.
This is Florida hundreds of years ago. There are no amenities, including no bathrooms. Camping is in tents. But the uniqueness of watching the sunset on a barrier island and witnessing a bazillion stars is unmatched.
I will go over all the details with anyone interested in this trip. Due to ferocious no-seeums, this tour is only offered during winter months when they disappear.
Paddling Difficulty: High
Cost: $1500 (***Cost of trip is per group***)
